Trulia expanded into three new markets recently, including Florida, Texas and Pennsylvania, reports Inman News (may require subscription). It was already available in California, New York and New Jersey.
Trulia, a San Francisco based company that launched last year, provides potential homebuyers with a real estate search system that searches multiple real estate brokerage websites for listings, displaying them on Trulia's website. Realtors can also opt to have their listings displayed in Trulia. As a result, Trulia has gained a number of partners.
Some of Trulia's broker partners include Prudential California Realty, Prudential CA/NV/TX, Weichert Realtors, Prudential Fox and Roach, Intero Real Estate, Ebby Halliday Realtors, Century 21 Judge Fite, First Team Real Estate, Real Living, Alain Pinel Realtors, Stribling, Prudential Gary Greene, Prudential New Jersey, Prudential Tropical, Keyes Company, Illustrated Properties, and Coldwell Banker Hearthside.
Sherry Chris, chief operating officer for Prudential CA/NV/TX said, "We see home buyers relying more heavily on the Internet for information about homes for sale and neighborhood and demographic information."
I am pleased that Trulia has expanded to Florida, as it will enable sellers I represent to have their properties receive more exposure, which is great considering that nearly 80 percent of homebuyers now go online to search for homes. Some real estate website service providers have also partnered with Trulia, enabling Realtors with other brokerage firms to directly benefit from Trulia's expanded presence.
